Driver Files

Driver Qualification Files are required for the following individuals:           
  • Any driver who operates a vehicle that weighs more than 10,001 pounds in interstate commerce. (Intra-state weight requirements for driver files vary)
  • Any driver who operates a vehicle of any size that carries placardable amounts of hazardous materials
  • Any driver who operates a vehicle that carries more than 16 passengers (including the driver).
